Chef Xavier Vance is the culinary force behind Southern Chicago, where he serves as Executive Chef and Co-Founder. With a foundation in fine dining and a fearless approach to flavor, Xavier creates dishes that are both refined and deeply soulful. His culinary style draws inspiration from global kitchens—France, Italy, Spain, Japan, and Thailand—while staying rooted in the comforting traditions of Southern and American cuisine. 

Before launching Southern Chicago, Xavier spent nearly 14 years at the helm of his own catering and events company, crafting unforgettable dining experiences for luxury weddings, corporate events, and high-profile gatherings. A graduate of the International Culinary School at the Art Institute of Illinois, Xavier brings discipline, creativity, and heart to every plate. At Southern Chicago, his mission is to celebrate connection, hospitality, and crave-worthy food that feels both elevated and familiar.
